Pentaho Version : 220.127.116.11
Operating System on which Report Designer is installed : Windows 7
Operating system on which Pentaho Server : RHEL.
Installation Method : Installer.
Java Version : Default Java with Installer.
JDBC connection details remains even after deleting them. Please refer the screencast attached. You will notice that even though I remove the instance parameter, upon reopening the report, the instance gets added.
However, the issue is on a Customers environmnent. In the customers installation, they do have a parameter in the Options tab called CE. They do try to remove the parameter, but upon reopening the report in Report Designer and see the OPtions tab they do see the CE parameter being added back.
When they try to test the connection, they are receiving the below error message,
Error connecting to database: (using class com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver)
The connection string contains a badly formed name or value.
When they try adding any arbitrary value to this property, they do get a Connection Test Successful message. I have asked the client to record a screencast for this and has been attached to this ESR along with the error message and prd.log file.
