Description
When working with large reports, it can be difficult, if not impossible to locate elements that cause problems or that have style or attribute properties set to a given value.
Currently, one would have to look at each element in all the bands and subreports to hopefully find the element that was causing problems. Most power users at that point use an UNZIP tool to crack open the PRPT file to manually search the XML files instead.
This story asks to make it easier to filter elements, attributes and styles to make it easier to fix problems in a report, and to detect errors based on invalid element settings and to make it possible to trace that error back to the element in the report designer. Outside the report designer, the reporting engine should provide a new log mechanism to allow administrators to detect these errors and to inform the user that their reports have problems.
