As a Spoon user, when I press Ctrl+Space in a red-dollar field I want Spoon show only those variables that apply, or show all variables (either if it applies or not).
When on a red-dollar field in a job entry, variable
is displayed when user press Ctrl-Space (it's assigned a nul value). On the other hand, variables
are not displayed, obviously because you are in a job and they don't apply when in a job.
Another case is: Internal.Job.Repository.Directory is displayed always, either if you are connected or not to a Repository.
The trend seem to be: show every variable either if it applies or not. But if this is the trend, why not to show transformation internal variables when in a job ?
My suggested improvement is either:
- Show every kettle internal variable including those that don't apply.
- Show only those kettle internal variables that apply.
