Mondrian parent-child hierarchies can today only contain a single named level (based on an attribute, and with a parent attribute).
This case proposes to allow hierarchies that have 1 or more regular levels, then a parent-child hierarchy at the bottom. For example, the Employees hierarchy might have levels Organization and Employee.
1. Provide a way to define closure tables to accelerate such hierarchies;
2. Access control must work (perhaps with documented restrictions such as that members of the parent-child level cannot be granted/revoked);
3. Provide a way to define aggregate tables that roll up correctly (perhaps working with closure tables).
For this feature to be widely used, client tools such as Analyzer and Saiku would need to support hybrid hierarchies. This support is probably expensive. Out of scope of this case.
