      Description

      Creating an improvement request as per comment in ESR-3039:

      Can we define the output-type list for .prpt reports globally?
      The customer has seen https://support.pentaho.com/entries/21654938-Limit-the-output-types-in-pentaho-report-designer-reports but has asked if it is possible to define a global default setting on the server.

      I have already tried the following possible solution:

      • stop BA Server
      • edit biserver-ee/tomcat/webapps/pentaho/WEB-INF/classes/classic-engine.properties as follows (for example to disable PDF output types):

      org.pentaho.reporting.engine.classic.core.modules.gui.pdf.Module=false

      • remove tomcat temp and work directories
      • restart BA Server
      • Log into PUC, refresh the repository, then load a prpt report

      However, I could still view the report as a PDF.

      Please see this forum post for further information on the above, also referenced by the customer:

      Thank you.
