When editing query with a parameter that is a date in the MQL Editor, the editor updates the a parameter, {date_parameter} to DATEVALUE([date_parameter]) and the default value can't be set.

    • Notice:
      When an issue is open, the "Fix Version/s" field conveys a target, not necessarily a commitment. When an issue is closed, the "Fix Version/s" field conveys the version that the issue was fixed in.

      Description

      Create a MQL Query in the MQL Editor that contain a date field.
      Add constraint to the date field and parameterize it, type in

      {start_date} and a default value of 2005-01-01.
      Hit Ok.
      Now... edit the query... notice that the {start_date}

      is now DATEVALUE([start_date]) and no ability to change the default value.

          This issue has reoccurred in 3.8GA.
          It is working fine with 3.6GA and 3.7GA.

          Yes, this is a problem in the MQL-Editor itself. MQL-Editor is a component that is external to the reporting world, it is in the metadata universe.

          tested this issue using the PRD RC1 build.
          date value parameter remains without modifying when we edit the query see screen shot.

          Tested and validated this issue using the PRD Rc1 build

          Able to edit the default value of a parameter when we edit the query.
