With the new implementation of datasource management in platform, we need to have a way for mondrian to accept the datasource we retrieve from the database. There also needs to be change made in mondiran where it looks for a specific implementation of datasource service. This needs to be done before te 2.0 is released

Mondrian does not understand data sources that are not directly provided. Will and Ramaiz were given a potential solution for this by Marc. Mondrian needs to call back to the platform.

Will Gorman - 23/Sep/08 05:58 PM
We're ready to test this functionality. Please use the Mondrian Test Plan, and verify that there is no "SampleData" JNDI configuration.

Jared Pshedesky - 25/Sep/08 05:47 AM
Will, where do I look to make sure there is no SampleData JNDI config?

Will Gorman - 04/Oct/08 02:13 PM
Jared, you can see the JNDI config by looking in the context.xml file within the pentaho/META-INF directory. Another place to define JNDI configs are in the tomcat/conf/server.xml file. The default bi-platform install should not have SampleData defined as a JNDI datasource, please verify that.
